When the author wrote that Apple hasn't included a SIM eject tool in the United States since the iPhone 4 after I had just unboxed my new iPhone 5s and found a lovely SIM eject tool, I knew the book was going to have problems. According to the author, I should use a straightened paperclip as SIM eject tool. The chapters are sparse, and I was especially disappointed with the section "The multimedia iPhone" as it really didn't get into using iTunes and getting music from your pc to your phone. You can supposedly get extra info online on different topics, but why not just include it in the book? I think the answer to that and the other problems with this book are found in the Authors' acknowledgements when they thank everyone who helped them turn around the book so quickly: so quickly, it's inaccurate and includes useless info (the ten apps you must have and ten apps worth paying for). Your better off just downloading the iPhone 5 manual from Apple.com.
