Kindle Paperwhite For Dummies Free Download
Jokes aside about there not being a kindle version of a kindle how-to book, this book is actually fairly well laid out and quite useful for people new to the kindle universe. If you've owned a kindle before a lot of its sections will be review (finding books to read is the same as always, you may already know about borrowing books, if you've had problems or had to troubleshoot something, contacting kindle support is no different than it was with your old device, etc). That's not to say that experienced users couldn't gain anything from this book, but my advice would be to play with your new kindle paperwhite for a bit and decide if there are features you don't understand.
For new users and specifically those who are a little more tech averse or want to avoid any and all frustration of learning a new device, this book is for you. The book is broken into 11 chapters as follows.
1) The Paperwhite Screen - Maybe I lack modesty, but I like to know why my eReader is better than the others and while I can clearly see it, this chapter solidifies it for me
2) First Things First - This chapter has just about everything you'll need on your first day. Setting up WiFi, registering your kindle, charging it, etc. If you're giving the kindle as a gift along with this book read this chapter ahead of time and you'll have no problem getting the lucky recipient up and running.
3) Getting to Know Your Kindle Paperwhite - This chapter covers navigation of the kindle through icons and the general use of the touch screen.
